I was born and raised in Zambia, in a home where ambition was whispered but rarely watered. I learned early that if I wanted a bigger life, I would have to build it myself — usually from the ground up, and usually alone at first.

I left home young, crossed borders, and learned what it means to start over in a country where no one knows your name, your story, or the things you've already survived.

I chose a field — cyber security — where women like me were rare, and women over 40 were rarer still. I earned my CISA certification and spent more than 20 years protecting organisations, learning systems, and quietly proving I belonged in every room I walked into.

I was rejected for jobs I was overqualified for. I was passed over for promotions I deserved. I sat in meetings where my ideas were ignored, then repeated by someone else and applauded. Every woman reading this knows what I mean.

I did all of this while becoming a mother to three children — packing lunches at dawn, leading audits by day, and writing late into the night. I rebuilt my confidence the way most women do: in stolen moments, in quiet prayer, in long walks, in conversations with friends who refused to let me shrink.

I have been broken open by rejection, by loss, by seasons of self-doubt I wouldn't wish on anyone. And every single time, I came back. A little softer. A little wiser. A lot more sure of who I am.

As the world changed faster than ever, I watched brilliant women around me — mothers, friends, colleagues, sisters — quietly feel left behind. Not because they couldn't learn. But because no one was teaching them like a friend.

AI-Fearless is the place I wish I'd had. A safe corner of the internet where women over 40 can learn modern tools, build confidence, create new income, and remember that their experience is a superpower — not an expiry date.
